Organiser Glenn Wheatley is reportedly negotiating with more major names.
Funds raised for the event will go directly to Rural Aid who provide support for rural communities suffering drought, fire and flood.
"Farmers are the backbone of this country," said John Farnham who leads the cast of top Aussie talent.
"I understand what they are going through. They are doing it tough through this drought. It's a shame we did not do something sooner. But we are acting now," he added.
Hay Mate: Buy a Bale, will be held at Scully Park Wests Leagues Club in Tamworth, and will be broadcast on the Nine Network from 7pm AEST on Saturday, October 27.
