Mariah Carey Accused Of Sexual Harassment By Ex-Manager

Mariah Carey’s former manager, Stella Bulochnikov, is taking the singer to court over claims that she sexually harassed her.

TMZ are reporting that Bulochnikov has accused the 48-year-old singer of sexual harassment after claiming that Carey was often nude in front of her.

It’s also reported that the ex-manager filed a summons in New York on Friday which stated that she planned to sue her former employer for breach of contract as well as allegedly violating the US Civil Rights Act and the Fair Employment and Housing Act.

Bulochnikov is said to be seeking damages and interest on the basis that she is owed money by Carey after being fired last year in the middle of a three-year-contract.

A representative for Carey has told page six that they will be defending the claims.

“If this frivolous and baseless claim is filed, we will defend against it vigorously and successfully.”

When news surfaced that Carey had decided to work with Roc Nation and part ways with Stella Bulochnikov, it was presented as a mutual decision.

“After working together for almost three years, Mariah Carey and Stella Bulochnikov have determined that it is in their mutual best interest to part ways on day-to-day management,” said Bulochnikov in a statement last November.

“During their time working together, they have accomplished great things, including, most recently, Mariah Carey’s new music and motion picture projects for this upcoming holiday season. Mariah Carey and Stella Bulochnikov remain partners in a number of business ventures and will continue to support each other in those endeavours.”

The news of this lawsuit comes just after Mariah publicly revealed her battle with bipolar II disorder.

“Until recently I lived in denial and isolation and in constant fear someone would expose me,” revealed Carey last week.

“It was too heavy a burden to carry and I simply couldn’t do that anymore. I sought and received treatment, I put positive people around me and I got back to doing what I love - writing songs and making music.”
