Australia, Meet Your New Bachelor

It's confirmed, even after it was denied.

Former Bachelorette star, Richie Strahan, is Australia's next Bachelor.

After being left broken hearted in the previous series he is now preparing to meet the new ladies of his life and admitted to News Corp Australia ''To be honest I couldn't believe they called me up to ask''.

Richie says that he has been off the dating radar since he was publicly dumped on TV and says ''I'm a very private person and it's a really big decision to put yourself out in the public arena again. I found it really hard to open up the Bachelorette last year, but the end decision was that I could now meet a girl who I could spend the rest of my life with''.

As a fly in fly out worker, it meant it was hard for Richie to start dating even if he was to meet the girl of his dreams and admits ''there's tinder, but that's not my cup of tea''.

I'll be here all day 😂😂 #whatevermate

After going through the process of being the one who has to be chosen, Richie says he will now be in complete control of everything, including how many kisses he will dish out during the show.

He says ''I''m not that kind of guy to lead a girl down the garden path. I'm not going to start kissing girls for the sake of it''.

The Bachelor is about to start filming but as yet, we have no start date.

There's one thing for sure.. we better see that six pack of his weekly or I am out..
