Selma Blair Makes Emotional Appearance After MS Diagnosis

It’s the morning after the night of nights in Hollywood and everyone is talking about the red carpet fashion, the award winners and the show stopping performance by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

But the one thing that more people should be talking about today is the incredibly emotional and brave appearance from actress Selma Blair.

Walking the media line before the Vanity Fair Oscars after party, the 46-year-old actress made her first public appearance since she revealed that she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Blair attempted to hold back teas as she stunned in a pink, mint green, sky blue and black gown with a matching cape and train.

She stood proud with a cane in hand, which she now has to use to help her walk.

In an Instagram post, Selma explained that she had a customer cane made specifically for the party.

“This is love. @tombachik customising my cane with my monogram and a real pink #diamond,” she wrote alongside a photo of the cane being made.

“How did I get so lucky? I wanted a special can for #vanityfair dinner. So…@lyon_hearted went out and found patent leather and @bic_owen and he stitched it on.

“Hours of love put in. And then #tombachick made it especially magical. I burst into tears. These gifts get me through. #subtle #chic #Love. I can’t thank these three enough. They are angels,” she added.

Blair revealed that she was suffering from MS in October last year and opened up about how the disease has “disabled” her.

“I am disabled,” Blair wrote. “I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken gps.”

Absolutely loving her bravery! Such a beautiful moment.
