MAFS Star Tracey Returns To Instagram With A Health Update

Tracey Jewel has posted on Instagram for the first time in over two weeks to let her fans know her condition following her recent suicide attempt.

The 35-year-old Married At First Sight star was 'stranded' in Berlin last month after splitting with her boyfriend Patrick Kedemos.

Without money for a return flight Jewel ended up 'overdosing' on medication, but now after checking herself into a mental health facility in Perth she has told her followers she is 'focusing on getting well'.

'Thank you for everyone's support and well wishes. I'll be updating everyone soon but just wanted to say thanks and right now I'm focusing on getting well,'

Tracey told New Idea magazine last week that she tried to end her life by 'overdosing' on medication in Berlin after she suffered a mental breakdown following her ex-boyfriend Patrick, 45, dumping her and allegedly leaving her 'stranded' while they were half way through a European holiday.

Tracey revealed, 'I went into a head spin and I overdosed. I just couldn't see a way out of the current situation,'

'I've been trolled and cyber bullied relentlessly, pretty much all year [since MAFS].'

'I'm not someone with a history of depression, but I started getting help in April because a psychologist said I might have post-traumatic stress disorder because of everything I'd been through.'

Eventually, Patrick paid for a ticket for Tracey to return home when she then entered a mental health clinic.

She said: '[My doctors] thought the best thing I could do was to have care to get better as quickly as possible.'

Tracey is currently staying with her adoptive mother in Perth, and also explained how her daughter Grace, eight, did not know about her suicide attempt because she '[didn't] want to scare or upset her'.
