Teenager Sues Parents For Posting Childhood Photos On FB

An 18-year-old woman has done what every child has threatened to...sue her parents for posting embarrassing photos of her as a kid on Facebook.

While it can be social suicide to accept your parent's friend requests on Facebook, most children oblige, tweaking one or two privacy settings. But one set of parents have proven maybe it's safest just not to accept at all.

While it's expected for at least on of your parents to leave the odd embarrassing comment on your wall that was supposed to be for your inbox, a mum and dad from Austria have taken the cake, allegedly posting over 500 childhood photos of their daughter on Facebook...and she's NOT happy.

The photos include pictures of the teenager having her nappy changed and undergoing potty training as a kid.

'They had no shame and no limit and didn't care whether it was a picture of me sitting on the toilet or lying naked in my cot. Every stage was photographed and then made public,' the teenager said.

'I'm tired of not being taken seriously by my parents,' she continued.

She's now suing alleging the photos have made her life a misery and her lawyer Michael Rami says she has a good chance of winning in court.

The teenager's parents have refused to delete the pictures which were reportedly shared with over 700 of their friends on Facebook.

According to reports, the 18-year-old's father is arguing that because he took the photographs it gives him the right to publish them.

The case is set to appear in court in November and if the teenager successfully proves the photos violated her rights to a personal life, she will receive compensation and her parents will also have to fit the bill for her legal costs.
