This Fave Aussie Mag Is Coming Back With The Craziest Plan
While many magazines have fallen victim to the digital revolution, one Aussie title has big plans to make a comeback.
Four years after calling it quits, Grazia magazine is coming back from the dead and to a shelf near you.
Following it’s digital only relaunch in March last year, the title is having another crack at print - but don’t expect to see the same mag that once sat on the news stand.
Because according to it’s publishers, they have some revolutionary plans.
“In an era where the print media channel is in heavy decline and publishers are withdrawing from independent circulation audit, this is an exciting opportunity to revolutionise how and where people engage with print to discover trends, products and people in a new way,” General Manager Marne Schwartz said.
So what exactly does that mean?
Don’t expect to pick up the title for a few dollars while filling up with fuel, like you once did.
But if you have a spare $15 and some patience, you’ll be able to grab a copy twice a year at selected retailers, including: Westfield, Swarokski, Napoleon Perdis, Topshop, Nespresso, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, as well as in your local Uber and online.
With the brand promising a departure from the “news” style of traditional magazines in favour of a “visual feast of this season’s topics”, only time will tell if the plan will equal success.
The first edition of Grazia’s new bi-annual magazine will launch on Tuesday March 7.
