Tinder Date For Sex Turned To Violent Robbery

In one of the more bizarre Tinder dating stories, a man who believed he was meeting up with a woman he had connected with on Tinder. However, things would not pan out that way.

When a 34-year-old man connected with 'Brittany' on Tinder, things quickly went from pleasantries, to full on talk about sex.

The pair discussed 'Brittany' coming over to his house, and how much that would cost him.

They even discussed what his money would get him, and the pair agreed to meet up in a car park near Lake Macquarie's Morisset Pool at around 5pm.

However, when he arrived, he saw two men sitting in a parked car only metres away.

Brittany rang, told the victim she was there and asked if he could get out of his car so he could "hug" her.

Instead of Brittany, the man was shocked when two boys who were waiting jumped out and robbed the man of his cash, around $290. They also swiped the bottle of Wild Turkey that the man had brought at 'Brittany's' request and his mobile phone.

And when he declined to hand over his credit cards, Croucher smashed his windscreen with the pole before he, Brittany and another man walked off.

According to SMH, the victim drove to a service station and headed to a police station to report the robbery.

Croucher, 20, of Bonnells Bay, was committed on Wednesday to be sentenced in Newcastle District Court next month of the armed robbery.

The girl purported to be Brittany has also been charged.
