On Your Marks: Usain Bolt Is Adelaide-Bound!
The fastest man alive could soon be hitting Australia's South Coast!
Usain Bolt is set to become the face of a brand-new athletics series kicking off early next year.
The Nitro Summer Athletics League, run by Athletics Australia, wants the cheeky-as seven-time Olympic gold medallist as their poster boy in one of four events due to take place around the country.
And now the South Australian government is being urged to lobby for one of those events to come to Adelaide.
Opposition spokesman Tim Whetstone told news.com.au that, in his opinion, funds normally reserved for major event bids should be used to bring Bolt to the South Coast.
"It's what we should be doing more of," he said. "It's the only way we are going to put Adelaide on the map."

Efforts to make Bolt a part of the league have been ongoing for several months, and it is believed that contracts and agreements have been drawn up while the AA president and chief executive are in Rio.
It's also hoped that John Steffensen, the former Commonwealth 400m who counts Bolt as a close friend, will have some sway over the decision, too, following his appointment to the AA board earlier this month.
