HANG IT UP FOR POVERTY LAUNCHES TO HELP THE HOMELESS IN SA

Currently over 100,000 people in Australia are homeless. In our state alone 5,000 people sleep homeless every night and 900 are children. Many go without food, shelter and clothing.

Most of these people experience homelessness because of family breakdown, violence and abuse, unemployment, poverty, and housing affordability. Thousands are living in temporary housing like caravan parks, in cars, on friend’s couches or in overcrowded dwellings like boarding houses.

You can do something to help!

The HIUFP 2015 campaign invites donations of new or pre-loved clothing for people who are homeless this winter and money to help UnitingCare Wesley find safe and secure homes for people in need, and provide them with the support they need to get back on their feet.
