Zoe Badwi Returns To Music
Two years ago Zoe Badwi had the world at her feet. The singer behind dance hits Free Fallin and Release Me was travelling the world when her life changed forever. The hit singer was involved in a horrific car accident which left her with back, neck and head injuries.
“Its been horrible. Not only the pain I've been through, but to have to stop my life and all that I love was very frustrating... but I am a fighter so I keep on going,” she told Mix 1023.
After two long years of rehab she’s making a comeback. The talented songstress is gracing Adelaide stages at the Stag Afterparty in Adelaide for this year’s Melbourne Cup celebrations.
“I'll be djing and singing and surprising you with lots of extras! Its going to be such a fun event,” she said.
She said the support of her amazing family and her love of music helped her through the tough times.
“My poor mum and dad had to pick up the pieces. Music has always been my best friend,” she said.
Badwi is back in the studio and said she finds the whole process therapeutic. Many of the tracks on her new album center on her journey.
“Song writing helps me make sense of most situations and then pouring the emotion out in my voice."
“When I couldn't escape what was happening - music helped me,” she said.
