Only 2 People Have Finished Aussie Cafe’s Giant Pancake Dish
Want to have your [pan]cakes and eat them too?
Well, this Brissy cafe’s new creation will have you chomping at the bit, if you can stomach it all, that is.
Gold Coast cafe Gangster and Gatsby have created the ultimate pancake dessert, not for the faint hearted.
At just $19.95, the ‘Harlem Hatchet’ has definitely made an impression, with only two people being able to finish it so far.
The enormous stack is made with four large layers of pancakes layered with nutella, peanut butter and marshmallows before being drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce and topped with two big scoops of ice cream - oh, and then adorned with a heap of chocolate and caramel chips.
Owner Sue Armstrong said they came up with the dish on a quiet day in the cafe and now sell up to three ‘Harlem Hatchets’ a day.
'People still struggle (to eat it) because they are not little pancakes, they are big and thick,' Ms Armstrong told the Gold Coast Bulletin.
The surprising thing? Women are doing a better job of downing it!
