This Recipe Will Make Cookies That Taste Just Like Subway’s
Sure Subway is a sandwich shop and yes all of their advertisements feature the latest a greatest healthy lunch options that you can purchase from them, but let's be honest here...
If you ask me, the one thing that I think of when someone mentions subway is the mouth-watering cookies that they sell.
Try as they might, no other cookie recipe can seem to compete with the soft, chewy, sweet and quite simply delicious biscuits on offer at the sandwich chain no matter which flavour you choose.
That is until now, with one amazing baker releasing a recipe that they promise tastes exactly like the white chocolate macadamia, choc chip and double choc chip cookies on offer at subway.
And apparently they're completely idiot-proof with only three ingredients making up the yummy batter. So even the worst bakers out there (i.e. me) will be able to take on the recipe.
According to Madeline Hoskin on Kidspot, all you'll need is 1 packet of cake mix (or brownie mix will also work), 2 eggs and 1/3 cup of vegetable oil. And then of course anything else that you wish to decorate with such as sprinkles, choc chips etc.
Once you've combined the ingredients together into a cookie dough consistency, you roll small portions into balls and place them on a lined baking tray.
Next, you place the cookies in the oven and bake on 200C for just 7 minutes. Now apparently this is the make it or break it part of the recipe, so take note! If you cook them for longer than 8 minutes, the cookies will not have that soft texture that you dream of.
Then you just let your cookies cool and voila! You're a masterchef!
So no need to run on down to subway next time you get a craving for a cookie fix when you can easily whip up a whole batch just for yourself with things that you've probably already got in the kitchen cupboard!
