What's Really Lurking Inside Your Kit Kat Filling

If you've ever wondered what's lurking inside your Kit Kat, you're not alone. The BBC has revealed the secret behind the popular chocolate treat and we're pretty surprised!

While we all know a Kit Kats contain a chocolate-covered wafer, Nestle says what makes it special is its smooth and creamy chocolayer. The BBC has uncovered that the chocolate used to make up this creamy layer is in fact a whole load of smashed-up Kit Kats.

According to the station, the Kit Kats that don't quite make the cut after strict quality control testing end up being recycled back into the production process. The chocolate bars are ground up into a fine paste and used to fill the space between the wayfer. 

It's nice to know the chocolate isn't going to waste!
