You’re About To Become Obsessed With Ice Cream Ramen
A new intriguing dessert is taking Instagram by storm. It’s called ice cream ramen, but don’t be fooled by the name and appearance, the dessert actually doesn’t contain any ramen noodles.
The noodle like substance is made from algae and is a traditional Japanese dessert. It comes in a wide variety of flavours, including peach, green tea, milk, kyoho and brown sugar. Yum!
Forget savoury broths, the jelly noodle is often paired with a generous serving of condensed milk and crushed ice. If you’re feeling a little health conscious or follow a vegan lifestyle don’t despair, the fascinating concoction can also be served with coconut milk. The sweet treat is then topped with your choice of mocha, rockmelon, mango or white peach syrup. Yum!
The trendy dessert is a popular new dish at The Dessert Kitchen in New York, which is known for its savoury inspired desserts. The iconic dessert bar has previously produced dumplings in a ginger sugar soup and red tea ice cream. We're not too sure about the last two, but the noodles look worthy of a trip to New York.
