ADIDAS Is Releasing Sneakers Made Out Of Ocean Waste

We’re often guilted over our love of disposal fashion. These days what’s hot one week might be a fashion faux-paus the next. Well, Adidas have created a guilt free solution that are pratically saving the planet.

Adidas claim their latest show called the UltraBOOST Uncaged x Parley is made from 100 per cent recycled materials. According to the sporting giant the knitted upper is created from 95 per cent ocean plastic and 5 per cent recycled polymer. The laces, webbing, lining and heels are also all recycled!

“We want to bring everyone from the industry to the table and create sustainable solutions for big global problems," an Adidas spokesperson said.

“We are working with Parley to transform ocean plastic and pollution into high performance sportswear, spinning the problem into a solution,” they continued.

The guilt free kicks will set you back around $220, but you need to be in quick. Adidas have announced they’re releasing 7,000 pairs this month on-stores and online.
