Something Totally Random Could Help CURE Your Unbearable PMS

PMS.

Seriously is there anything worse than a monthly batch of crazy served up with hot flashes, tender boobs and horrific bloating?

Millions of women suffer from awful PMS every day, yet many treatments involve antidepressants or birth control.

Until now that is.

There’s a new option on the table in the battle against the evils of PMS, and it comes in the form of bee pollen.

Serenol, a non-prescription supplement that contains bee pollen, is being used to treat the effects of PMS.

Miriam Greene, an ob-gyn at the NYU Langone Medical Center, has been giving her patients Serenol for the past year.

She believes it has really helped them, “ A small amount of patients might have a placebo effect, but I don't think it would be long lasting," she said.

"I had a patient today who said, 'This saved my life.' How long can a placebo do something like that?”

Serenol’s website claims the supplement mimics the effect of serotonin (the happy hormone) in our bodies.

Whether it works or not, we’re just happy to see more options available to women who want to treat PMS without the use of birth control or antidepressants.
