The world's best gelato comes from... Adelaide?
Judging the Gelato World Tour might be the best job in the world. And the only thing better than that would be winning it.
Don't take our word for it - ask Adelaide gelato shop 48 Flavours, who just took out the People's Choice Award for their gorgonzola, pear, fig and walnut flavour.
As we all know, gelato is best shared, so it's fitting they were awarded joint winners with a pineapple, apple and celery sorbet from Japan.
Another one of the contestants dedicated her entry to her Italian husband, who she agreed to marry only 3 days after meeting him. When she presented her entry - chocolate bourbon with candied pecans and maple syrup - she told the judges "He didn’t speak English. I didn’t speak Italian. Gelato was our language".
Wow. That's super sexy. Both the story and the flavour.
