Adelaide Set To Gain A Second Discount Outlet Centre
Adelaide is set to gain a second a second major discount outlet centre, which would rival Harbor Town.
The 100-store shopping hub located in Gepps Cross will create 1500 jobs and service the northern suburbs. The $30 million retail and commercial development is believed to contain a tavern, service station, gym, tenpin bowling alley and much more.
The site, which previously housed an abattoir from 1913 until 1998, will make the perfect destination for a new shopping complex, situated between two major highways – Main North Road and Port Wakefield Road/Princes Highway offering northern suburbs shoppers an alternative to the Elizabeth Shopping Centre.
A public meeting will be held on the 1st of March to discuss the plans. The Development Plan Amendment is available for public review and written comment until 18 February 2017.
