The state government has dismissed claims from the Federal Energy Minister that SA cannot afford to cut the cord from Victoria because it relies on the national grid.

Labor has described the comments as jealousy, over the international attention SA has attracted for its Tesla Battery.


An investigation is underway into a house fire this morning at Seaton.

Crews were called to the home in Raymond Avenue at around 4.30, to find flames through the roof.

More than 200-thousand dollars damage has been caused - SAPOL is investigating.


It's hoped electric cars will be built at the former Holden factory at Elizabeth.

Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt will be laid to rest today nearly two weeks after a funeral service for her parents and sister, who were also killed in a fiery Boxing Day crash.

Jessica died last Wednesday, six days after her life support was turned off.
