Police Seek Urgent Help After 5yo Girl Goes Missing

An Amber Alert has been issued after a five-year-old girl went missing in Nerang.

Queensland Police are seeking urgent public assistance to locate the girl, who may be at significant risk.

She is described as Caucasian in appearance with blonde shoulder length hair, blue eyes and is 115cm tall.

She was last seen wearing a dark pink t-shirt with a lady bird emblem on the front, dark blue denim shorts and no foot wear.

Police say she went missing from Nielsens Road at 4.30pm yesterday and an exclusion zone has since been declared as around 160 police and SES personnel search for her.

The exclusion zone is bounded by Gilston Road, Hinde Road, Latimers Crossing Road, Nerang-Murwillumbah Road, Beaudesert-Nerang Road, Ferry Connection Road, Nerang-Broadbeach Road, Gooding Drive, Mudgeeraba Road, Worongary-Advancetown-Mudgeeraba Road.

Police ask people to remain vigilant as the search continues.
