Avicii’s Family Reveal His Cause Of Death
The family of superstar DJ Avicii, who was found dead in his hotel room in Oman just six days ago at the age of 28, have suggested that he took his own life, saying that a suicide note was found.
In a touching statement, the family revealed overnight that Avicii, who’s real name was Tim Breglin, “could not go on any longer” and that “Tim was not made for the machinery he ended up in”.
The statement, which was translated from Swedish, read: “Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions. An over-achieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress.
“When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most - music. He truly battled thoughts about meaning, life, happiness. How he could not go on any more. He wanted peace.
“Time was not made for the machinery, he ended up in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans, but shunned the spotlight.
“Time, you will forever be loved and missed. Who you were and your music will carry on the memory of you. We love you, the family.”
Fans of the DJ were left shocked and devastated at the news that broke on Friday April 20 confirming that Avicii had been found dead in his hotel room while on holidays.
Church bells played one of Avicii's biggest hits in the Swedish capital Stockholm on Tuesday.
