Con Artist Uses 'Magic Trick' To Scam $50 From Cashier
A trickster has been caught on CCTV stealing $50 from a junior pharmacy cashier in Adelaide.
The man can be seen approaching the register at a pharmacy in Wayville, putting some cheap soap on the counter.
He then hands the cashier a $100 note and she hands over $97 in change.
The man then dumps a bunch of coins and smaller notes on the counter and asks for his money to be exchanged.
While she is distracted with the count, the man subtly folds several notes into his palm. He eventually takes over counting the money from the cashier.
He then makes out that he’s not been paid correctly, and the young woman hands over $50 more cash than he’s owed.
The manager reportedly said his hands worked so quickly it looked like a "magic trick".
