Crows coach Phil Walsh found dead in home

UPDATE 4:13pm

Phil Walsh's accused son Cy Walsh was due to face court from Flinders Medical Centre in a bedside trial but was sedated at the time.

His lawyers allegedly claimed that the 26-year-old did not apply for bail, although he is currently in the psychiatry ward of the medical centre.

Police have now confirmed Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh was stabbed to death and his son has been arrested for his murder.

Walsh was reportedly alive when the paramedics arrived at the scene, and they worked desperately to save him, but unfortunately he died at the scene.

Police say that Walsh's son fled the scene and was found at an address in Glenelg East after a search.

It is believed the son, who normally lives with his parents in the Somerton Park home, had been out before returning at 2am - the time that the Adelaide Crows Coach reportedly rises to get ready for work.

An argument resulted in Walsh being stabbed multiple times, police have said.
