German City ROCKED By Explosion Going Off During Festival
An explosion has gone off outside a German restaurant near a busy music festival.
It has left at least one person dead and several injured.
The mayor of Ansbach, Carda Seidel, has confirmed to local media that the explosion in the city centre was due to an explosive device.
It is unclear whether it was due to a suicide attack or a planted device.
Police and fire services responded to the blast just after 10PM Nurenberg time, which was reported as a possible gas explosion.
It was later realised that it had come from the footpath in front of the wine bar.
The music festival was instantly shut down and 2500 were evacuated.
11 people have been taken to hospital, with unconfirmed reports a second may have died.
