Study Reveals That The Man Flu Actually Exists
No one likes a cold; runny nose, sore head, blocked ears...it really can be annoying but usually all we can do is take a few panadol, drink loads of fluid and face the day head on as we typically would.
Well most of us take this approach, but for a guy the common cold, or what could be described as the "man flu", seems to affect them WAY more than it does women, and can put them out of action for days.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the term "man flu", it's usually a sarcastic reference to the times when men experience cold symptoms, but tend to exaggerate the severity of the illness.
Well fellas, we have some good news for you today. Think back to all of the times when the women in your life didn't believe you when you said that you were practically dying from the cold; all of the times that they rolled their eyes at you; and prepare to say "I told you so"...
Why? Because apparently the man flu is an actual illness that exists!
That's right, a study has revealed that men really DO suffer more from the common cold than women due to their weaker immune systems.
The doctor behind this research, who may we add is in fact a man himself, started the study when he became, "tired of being accused of overreacting" when he was suffering from a cold.
So there you have it guys, you now have scientific permission to milk it even further when you've got a case of the sniffles.
God help the women that have to look after you though...if you thought the whinging and melodramatic symptoms of the man flu were bad before, they're about to get a million times worse now that they have an excuse for it.
