Huge Fire Warnings For SA Today
Wednesday 11th April 2018
It's unusual for April, but due to low rainfall, a few hot days in a row and strong hot North winds across the state, there is a slew of fire bans today. Conditions have been likened to those of Ash Wednesday.
An Extreme Fire Danger Warning has been issued for the Mount Lofty Ranges.
Severe Fire Danger Warnings have been issued for these 9 districts: North West Pastoral, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Adelaide Metropolitan, Yorke Peninsula, Riverland, Murraylands and Upper South East.
Ten Total Fire Bans have be issued for tomorrow across South Australia. This current heat wave has resulted in dangerous fire weather conditions rarely seen for this time of year. We ask the community to be aware and prepared for tomorrow’s fire danger. https://t.co/ju7XT88LRn— Country Fire Service (@CFSAlerts) April 10, 2018
The CFS recommends you review your Bushfire Survival Plan, monitor the situation at www.cfs.sa.gov.au and www.bom.gov.au, and remember to call 000 if you are in an Emergency situation.
