Is This The Dumbest Criminal In Adelaide?

An intruder has been arrested at Paralowie after he returned to collect his mobile phone.

Just before 11 pm on Wednesday 2 May, police were called to a Paralowie home after a woman reported seeing a man in her backyard which backs onto Bolivar Road.

As she watched the man jump back over the fence, she noticed a mobile phone fall from his pocket.   On police arrival, the woman handed the phone to the patrol.

While the police patrol was speaking to the woman and obtaining a statement, the man returned to look for his phone in her backyard.

The police patrol gave chase on foot and arrested the man a short distance away.

The 47-year-old man from Burton was charged with being unlawfully on premises, carrying an offensive weapon after he was allegedly carrying a metal pole and breach of bail.
