Kyle Chalmer’s School Went MENTAL When He Won The Gold
Most 18-year-old kids are at school, preparing for their exams, worrying about the normal stuff, like boyfriends and girlfriends.
Imagine being an 18-year-old kid and being at the Games in Rio?!
It’s mind-boggling. But for Kyle Chalmers it was a reality - and boy of boy did he make his friends and family - and Australia - proud.

He took out the gold in the mens 100m freestyle, which has not been won by an Australian in almost 50 years.
All of the students at his school, Immanuel College in South Australia gathered around to watch and the atmosphere was INCREDIBLE.

Check out the moment they realise he won the gold and just TRY not to get emotional.
If that doesn’t get you, then seeing his grandparent’s reaction surely will…
