Man Charged After Allegedly Crashing His Car Into A House

A man will face court today charged with dangerous driving after he allegedly crashed his defected car through a fence and into the back of an Ascot Park home early this morning.

Police first spotted the man driving his black station wagon on Railway Terrace and tests revealed the car was unregistered and defected. Police lost the driver in the backstreets before officers had the opportunity to pull the driver over.

Patrols later found the car abandoned on Seventh Ave and Allison street at Edwardstown following the crash. Police found the 38-year-old driver hiding nearby and charged him with driving in a dangerous manner, aggravated due care, driving disqualified and breach of bail.

Thankfully no one was injured and the crash caused only minor damage to the house. The man with no fixed address did not apply for bail and will face the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
