Molotov Cocktails Thrown At A Train In Smithfield

Police are investigating a dangerous incident at Smithfield, where three Molotov cocktails were thrown at a passenger train.

About 12.30am on Friday, 5 October the train was travelling south and had just left the Smithfield railway station when two people threw the Molotov cocktails at the train, causing damage to the driver’s front window.

There were no reports of any injuries to train staff or passengers.

Police searched the area for the two male suspects, but no one was found.
