Three charged with murder after violent night in Elizabeth
A woman has been charged for allegedly stabbing a man several times in Elizabeth South, while two men and another woman have all been charged with murder after a man died in Elizabeth Grove.
Both incidents happened on Tuesday night, only about 2 kilometres away from each other.
Just before 7.30pm, police and ambulance crews were called to Afford Street in Elizabeth Grove, following reports of several people fighting with one person being stabbed.
On police arrival, a 36-year-old man was treated at the scene before rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition, but unfortunately he died shortly after arrival.
A 36-year-old woman was also taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with a stab wound to the shoulder which is not considered life threatening.
Shortly after arrival, police arrested an Ottoway man in connection with the incident.
A 30-year-old woman Elizabeth Grove who was also injured at the scene was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital, this woman was also arrested and is currently in custody over the man's death.
Just after 10pm Northern District Police assisted Major Crime Detectives and Dog Operations Unit, searched the area in the vicinity of Afford Street locating another man wanted over the incident.
A 34-year-old man from Salisbury Plains and a 37-year-old man from Ottoway has been arrested and currently being interviewed at the Elizabeth Police Station. Both men and the Elizabeth Grove woman are expected to be charged with murder.
The incident is not considered a random attack with all parties known to each other.
MEANWHILE, a man is fighting for his life after being stabbed several times.
Just before 11pm, police and ambulance officers were called to Willison Street following reports of a man with serious stab wounds.
The man was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious condition.
A short time later Northern District police located and arrested a woman in connection with the incident who is believed to be known to the victim.
The 34-year-old Elizabeth South woman was charged with intentionally causing serious harm, and has been refused bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
This incident is in no way connected to the incident at Elizabeth Grove.
