Nearly One MILLION Cars To Be Recalled In Australia

It’s been a day of massive upheaval for the Australian motor industry.

Mitsubishi is recalling almost every model sold in Australia over the past 10 years, that's close to 500,000 cars.

Separately 324,000 Toyota models are also being recalled, in one of the highest number of recalls over a two day period in Australia's history.

The faults which spurred on these recalls vary but include electrical problems which affect wipers and lights, faulty handbrake cables and potential issues with fuel tanks.

Mitsubishi are recalling the Lancer sedan, Triton ute, Pajero 4WD, Outlander SUV, Challenger SUV, Colt hatchback and the iMiev electric car.

While Toyota are focusing on the Prius hybrid, the Corolla sedan and hatch and the Rukus.

Owners affected will be notified by mail and they will then be asked to make an appointment to take their car to the nearest dealership.

Repairs will then be made free of charge.
