Pedestrians Mowed Down As Driver Mounts Brisbane Footpath

A driver has been charged with trying to mow down a man and a woman with her car in Brisbane's northern suburbs.

The pair were walking in Zillmere about 2pm on Saturday when a silver Mitsubishi Magna allegedly sped towards them and mounted the footpath.

Both pedestrians jumped out the way to avoid being hit and managed to avoid injury.

The car and alleged driver were later found at a Zillmere house by police.

A 26-year-old woman is due to face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday charged with two counts of attempted murder.

All three people involved in the incident are known to each other.
