Police Involved In Low-Speed Chase Through Adelaide CBD
(We've highlighted the golf puns included in this statement from SAPOL. Did we miss any?)
Two youths were arrested yesterday afternoon after they were found driving a stolen golf buggy through the Adelaide CBD.
Just before 3 pm on Wednesday 26 September, an eagle-eyed police patrol spotted two youths driving a golf buggy on the footpath of Grenfell Street.
The patrol swung into action and stopped the boys a fairway down the road on Pulteney Street near the Rundle Street intersection.
Police approached the youths and upon further investigation, it was discovered the golf buggy had been stolen from the Botanical Gardens a short time earlier.
A 17-year-old boy from Plympton Park and a 15-year-old boy from Andrews Farm were both arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle and driving an unregistered uninsured vehicle on a roadway.
Both boys were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at later date.
