Reports Men 'In Clown Masks' Involved In Break Ins

The Advertiser is reporting that burglars involved in the northern suburbs break ins may have been wearing clown masks. Police say the thieves struck two homes in Gulfview Heights just after 5 this morning, before fleeing in a stolen Hyundai Sonata sedan.

They’re urging anyone who may have seen the car with the registration S044ACA to contact the police assistance line on 131 444. The car was stolen from a house at Lipson Reach Road and driven to a nearby property where thieves made off with a large television.

There are reports two other houses may also have been hit. Police revealed the two intruders had their faces covered, but when contacted by Mix 102.3 Police could not confirm if they were wearing clown masks.

Thankfully no one was injured in the break ins, but Police are urging residents in Gulfview to be extra vigilant.
