Severe Heat, Tram Extension Delays & Police Are Very Busy

Major Crash is investigating a fatal accident east of Adelaide.

A man has died after his car rolled on the Princes Highway south of Tailem Bend, just before 12:30 this morning.

It brings the state's road toll to 7, compared to 6 at the same time last year.


South Australian police are confident wanted man Travis Kirchner is being harboured by people he knows.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the 43-year old, for the alleged murder of Sally Rothe in her Murray Bridge home on Sunday night.

A 2-day for the suspect in the area has failed to locate him - with the manhunt now spreading nationwide.


Court again today, for a man who's pleaded guilty to a triple murder in Adelaide.

Steven Graham Peet will face the South Australian supreme court for sentencing submissions - after victim impact statements earlier this month.

He's pleaded guilty to murdering his partner and her two children in May 2016.


With the mercury tipped to hit 38 degrees in Adelaide today - total fire bans are in place.

Severe conditions have been declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges and Kangaroo Island.


And there are pleas to defer night construction on the city tram works.

It's claimed the tram extension is threatening to derail the "Parade of Light".
