Six Arrested Over Assault On North Terrace

Six people have been arrested and investigations are continuing into an assault on North Terrace overnight.

About 10.20pm Saturday 22 September, police and ambulance crews were called to the corner of Pulteney Street and North Terrace after reports that a man had been injured during an altercation with a group of people.

The 23-year-old victim sustained a puncture wound to the lower abdomen during the scuffle.  He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.  Investigations are continuing to ascertain how the man sustained the injury.

A second person at the scene was also taken to the RAH after he reported being punched during the altercation. His injuries are also not life-threatening.

Police interviewed a number of people in relation to the incident.

Six people were arrested nearby, including a 21-year-old Gilles Plains man, a 22-year-old Sefton Park man, a 22-year-old Hope Valley man, a 22-year-old Paradise man, a 23-year-old Highbury man and a 28-year-old Greenwith woman.  They were all charged with aggravated affray and bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 14 November.
