The BIG Reason Why It Pays To Be First In Store At Aldi
When Pete Rigby lined up for ELEVEN hours outside a new Aldi store to be the its first customer - he ended up winning big.
At the request of his wife, Pete rugged up and braved the cold all night to be the first in the door at ALDI's grand opening in West Sussex.
His ended up bagging a free brand new 4K smart TV. He was handed one of 100 golden tickets, each of which contained details of a prize, for being one of the first in the queue.

Overseas, Aldi are known to hand out Willy Wonka style golden envelopes containing prizes to the first 100 customers who queue up outside a brand new store on launch day.
Prizes include TV's like Pete's, hampers, bags of shopping and Aldi Vouchers.
We're yet to hear of this happening here in Australia. But with Aldi's success down under, and plenty of new stores popping up around our fair nation, we think it's time to bring these golden tickets to Aussie Aldi stores!
We contacted Aldi Australia to ask whether they'll be bringing these golden giveaways to Aussie consumers. While it looks like there are no immediate plans to make this happen, they suggested that we keep an eye out on their Facebook page for upcoming competitions.
