Triple Zero Emergency Calls DOWN After Telstra Network Issue
Triple Zero emergency calls are currently unavailable across major cities in Australia.
It’s believed that a cut Telstra cable in New South Wales has sparked the major outage.
It’s reported that services were starting to be restored at around 5 am and are progressively returning back to normal with the cause of the outage currently under investigation by authorities.
Police are aware of a nationwide disruption to the Triple Zero (000) service. At the moment calls for police services in SA are being received. If you require services in an emergency call Triple Zero (000). If you experience any issues getting through then call 131 444.— SA Police News (@SAPoliceNews) May 3, 2018
SA Police have issued a statement urging people to always use triple zero as the first point of call for emergency services, but anyone in need of assistance who can’t get through to triple zero should call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
More to come.
