If you need a good quality mud cake and only have 10 minutes to whip it up, this recipe is for you!
10 minutes prep time, plus baking time
Ingredients:
1 packet IGA Signature Chocolate Cake Mix
110g Softened butter
¾ cup IGA Signature Milk
2 IGA Signature Eggs
1 block IGA Signature Swiss Dark Chocolate – melted
½ cup of Sour cream
Method:
1 Prepare: Cake Tin Lightly grease and line the base of a 20cm x 6cm round cake tin and preheat the oven to 180C
2 Melt chocolate: Break the chocolate into its square pieces and out into a bowl then melt in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time until melted. Set to cool while you mix up the cake mix
3 Mix cake: Follow the instructions on the packet but add in the melted chocolate and sour cream at the end of the mixing and stir it through before pouring into the prepared tin
4 Bake cake: Follow the rest of the instructions on the pack to bake and ice cake, for extra muddiness put it in the fridge after it has cooled
