Crows AFLW stars sneak back on Adelaide Oval
News came to light this morning that Adelaide Crows AFLW co-captain (and Mix102.3 regular) Chelsea Randall had missed a red-eye flight to Melbourne the morning after leading the Crows to their second AFLW premiership in three years.
Mix102.3 breakfast host Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom had been to the airport to meet her but she never arrived, much to her teammates’ disgust.
She lives only minutes from the studio of Mix102.3 so Soda took it upon himself to investigate later in the morning.
Soda arrived with a surprise guest – pop star Brian McFadden!
Chelsea had teammate Marijana ‘MJ’ Rajcic at her house, both still in a great mood from the night before, and not in the least bit bothered that she was meant to be in Melbourne already for tonight’s awards night.
Chelsea and MJ had their medals around their neck, their premiership t-shirt still on and Chelsea was even still wearing her socks from the game!
It didn’t take long for everyone to get acquainted – Chelsea was definitely in the mood for some fun so suggested a lift from Soda back to Adelaide Oval, where they claimed their second premiership in front of 53,000 yesterday.
Watch what happened next in the video above as the four of them made their way onto the hallowed turf.
It was all good times, especially when Chelsea and MJ re-enacted the final siren with Soda commentating (and Brian doing the siren noise).
