Soda meets Crows AFLW stars the morning after Grand Final
Soda went to the Adelaide Airport to meet the premiership winning Adelaide Crows AFLW side at 6am the morning after the Grand Final.
Most of them were meant to be there to get on a flight to Melbourne for an awards ceremony but there was one notable absentee - Mix102.3's own (and Crows co-captain) Chelsea Randall!
Have a listen to the audio above because after what must have been a MASSIVE night out some of the voices are hilarious!
Eb Marinoff told Soda that they got home "a couple of hours ago" and hadn't had much sleep.
"I’m disgusted, Chelsea Randall is not rocking up," Marinoff said.
"We’ve got Erin Phillips who’s probably done her ACL, so clearly she can’t come. Chelsea Randall is meant to be holding the team together, but she’s just informed us that she’s not going to me making this flight."
Marinoff was still really excited about the game that saw a record crowd of more than 53,000 at Adelaide Oval.
"We ran out and there were a few people there, and we were like 'This is cool', and then at half time, the whole stadium was packed…. To get over 30 000, then obviously to get over 40, but then to get over 50 – it’s absolutely nuts," she said.
Anne Hatchard said she felt "a little bit ill" after the night of celebrating.
"At least I made it, not like Chelsea Randall," she said.
"The season’s been bloody awesome, and to get that win yesterday it’s just topped it all off. It’s been amazing."
