SA Teens Charged Over Alleged School Massacre Plot
Jodie & Soda speak with Channel 7 Reporter Mark Mooney on an alleged plot by two teenage boys to massacre students and staff at a Riverland high school.
Two teenagers a 16-year-old and 18-year-old had allegedly been planning a massacre at a South Australian school using knives and explosives, but their plot was thwarted when fellow students alerted police.
Police believe there would have been significant casualties if the attack had gone ahead before the end of the school year. It's believed the pair had been planning the attack since June 1.
Mooney says friends and family alerted police that the students were talking about the attack but it’s still not certain on the motive for the plot.
“As you can imagine in a country town, that fellow students on Facebook are talking about why they think the kids were going to do this but at this moment we don’t have a confirmed motive”
