Fans were left absolutely shocked and heartbroken as fan favourite and ‘King of the Jungle’ Luke Toki was eliminated during tribal council on Australian survivor last night.
Twitter was absolutely blowing up with messages from fans who couldn’t believe that the person they were so sure would win the whole competition during his second chance on the show, had been voted out right before the finale.
Pia is allowed to play for herself. Just because someone has a “good story” doesn’t mean she should give up her chance to win #SurvivorAU

Me right now #SurvivorAU I get why Pia did it & I hope she wins. But as a mum of 2 autistic boys. That was hard to watch Luke go out knowing what that money would mean for his kids & family. pic.twitter.com/KfOrLHq0iY

But instead of just sending messages of support, some fans who had hopes Luke would be the sole survivor actually created GoFundMe pages in a bid to raise funds for the loveable father of three.
It’s no secret that Toki could have really benefited $500k prize money that comes with winning survivor, having previously stated that he would use the money to provide a better life for his family.
Luke’s two young sons are on the autism spectrum while his newborn daughter Madeline has cystic fibrosis and this sort of money could have gone a long way when it comes to treatments.
After being sent home on last night’s episode, a whopping 22 pages have popped up on the fundraising website with the hopes of raising money for the ultimate survivor player and young dad.
While not all of the pages have received donations, one page created by Dave Skow has raised an incredible $131,539 so far (at the time of writing) with a goal of reaching the survivor prize money number of $500,000.
“Let’s be honest…Luke Toki is the best Australian Survivor contestant ever,” the page says.
“We first met the FIFO worker from Western Australia two years ago when he made a name for himself as the ‘King of the Jungle’ on the 2017 season of Survivor.
“Then this year saw his return as a Champion in the 2019 season. Leaving behind his young family, he had one aim – to take out the title of Sole Survivor and in turn, win $500k to provide a better life for them.
“With two young sons with autism and a baby girl with cystic fibrosis, $500k would be a life changing amount for the Toki’s,” the page continued.
“Whilst Luke stumbled near the finish line and was voted out in the top 4, true Survivor fans will recognise that he is the greatest Australian player ever to grace our screens. So let’s rally behind this Aussie legend and change this awesome young family’s life.”
Another page has raised $430 while another is sitting at $145.
Such a beautiful testament to just how much Luke has affected us all during his time on our TV screens!
