As if tragedy hasn’t struck enough this year, upcoming Bachelorette Brooke Blurton revealed last week that her sister passed away.

Sharing a heartbreaking story on Instagram revealing the news, Blurton wrote, “On the 11th of August, I had just received news that my sister passed away.”

“I do like the think I live a very private life but I kinda felt like I wanted to share with you where I’m at. Something hugely personal and vulnerable.”

“I’ve been trying to process that on my own being stuck in a Sydney lockdown without my family, off country, and by myself.”

Brooke shared her struggle trying to get home to WA to be with her family with the WA government’s current health orders needing her to apply for a G2G PASS, she was eventually (after multiple attempts) let in under compassionate grounds.

Apparently filming for her highly anticipated season of The Bachelorette wrapped up the previous Friday, so what does this mean for her and the person she chose at the end of the show?

We’re not sure, but it certainly must be a difficult time trying to navigate a fresh relationship.

Our hearts break for Brooke and her family and we can’t imagine the pain they are feeling right now.

In the meantime, we hope they have the time and space to heal together.
