Jodie & Soda speak with US Woman Devon Bieling who has been labelled the real-life Pat Mullins (Chris Lilley’s ‘We Can Be Heroes’) after rolling across the finish line in a marathon in Washington.

The 30-year-old completed the race in 3:34:02, just under the Boston Marathon qualifying time of 3:35:00. She finished 131st overall and 36th among women.

Bieling explained that she collapsed with 11 metres left in the race but she was determined not to get any assistance and get disqualified, she decided to roll, an idea she got from watching Ironman Kona finishers.

“My legs just gave out from underneath me…all I could think about was roll so that’s what I did!”
