Jodie and Soda are excited already.
On Wednesday they get to make a phone call that will change the life of one (likely) South Australian forever.
The Mix102.3 breakfast hosts have the responsibility of calling the winner of the grand prize of the Hospital Research Home Lottery.
They’ll be letting the randomly selected person on the other end of the phone know they’ve won $1 million cash AND a $2 million fully furnished Scott Salisbury home on the Esplanade at Brighton.
If you’re thinking you’d like that to be you, well hopefully you already have your ticket. All Home Lottery tickets are now sold out.
If you do have a ticket, be ready to take a call by 7.30am on Wednesday.
The home features 180 degree uninterrupted views of the ocean from nearly every room with lift access to all 3 floors.
If you don’t hear from Jodie and Soda on Wednesday morning, never fear, you might have still won one of 21,099 other prizes!
All those other prizes will also be drawn on Wednesday.
Prizes range from six luxury 2019 BMW X4s, a 2019 Porsche Cayenne, $250,000 cash, a trip for two to Bora Bora, and thousands of $75 gift vouchers to the likes of Barbeques Galore, Drakes Supermarkets and The Good Guys.
The Home Lottery is capped at 200,000 tickets and is intended for residents of South Australia.
The total value of all prizes is more than $6million.
Tickets cost $100 but organisers point out that given there are 21,000 prizes, it works out to less than 1 cent per draw! It also gives you a one in ten chance of winning.
The mega lottery is a fundraiser supporting lifesaving medical research and patient care in South Australia, through the Hospital Research Foundation.
We’ll have a video of the winning phone call on mix1023.com.au on Wednesday.
