Jodie & Soda surprise Kickstart for Kids founder Ian Steel with special donations from South Australians who want to make sure every kid has breakfast.

Phil from Glengowriecalled in during Adelaide’s Breakfast show and donated $1000  to the program which helps school children achieve positive educational and self-esteem outcomes through breakfast, lunch and mentoring programs.

Steel was overwhelmed by the generosity of Mix1023 listeners like Phil willing to support the cause.

“Just to open your wallet and your hearts like that means so much”

Phil told Jodie & Soda he wanted to donate to help the future generations.

“I look at it as paying it forward, these are our future”

Mix1023 took donations all morning and announced at 9 am SA Time they had raised over $25,000 for Kickstart for Kids. 


Jodie & Soda will be hosting a special broadcast from Victoria Square Friday, December 8 to raise funds for the program.
