We all deal with break ups in different ways.

If you ask us, we’re diving straight into the whole tub of ice cream. Like pass me the whole block of chocolate because that bad boy is about to disappear.

But when it comes to someone like Liam Hemsworth it seems he deals with a breakup in the exact opposite way, turning to exercise to keep himself balanced and moving on with his life.

In the past few months, Last Song fans everywhere have been dealing with the fact that the romance we thought was meant to be had come to an end as Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth ended their short marriage.

While Liam has remained fairly quiet on the whole split, he recently opened up in an interview with Men’s Health Australia about how her turned to exercise after dealing with a pretty tumultuous past six months.


The interviewer asked Liam if his exercise routine was focused on building back up his body, to which Liam replied with a laugh, “Rebuilding? Yeah, that’s a good way to put it.”

Do we sense a hint of subtle shade there Mr Hemsworth?

“This last six months, honestly, for keeping my head level and just staying balanced, I’d say exercise has been big for me,” Liam added.

And you know what, now that we’re all stuck in quarantine and the only time we can really go outside is to exercise, we actually get what Liam’s talking about here. We never quite realised just how important exercise can be for your mind as well as your body.

So maybe the next time we deal with a break up we’ll remember to take our spoon out of the Nutella jar and try Liam’s approach instead?


Miley and Liam split after just seven months of marriage last year, with the breakup going public after Miley was spotted kissing Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter on a girls trip.

Miley has since moved on with Aussie boy Cody Simpson, while it’s rumoured that Liam is dating model Gabriella Brooks.
